Verifone Loop Fix



Terminals to upgrade are those manufactured prior to June 25th, 2019.  This issue has been affecting the following terminals:

1) VX terminals (VX 520, VX 805, VX 820, VX 820 Duet, VX 680, VX 690 and VX 675) and e Series terminals (e315, e315m, e335, e355) with CommServer software prior to version 5.4.4 or 4.9.3 could be impacted by this issue.

First Data has made a video available of a temporary fix that will keep the Vx520 terminals operating past 6/25/2019. The videos outline a partial download that is fairly easy to perform. The certificate issue does affect dial terminals as well. We do apologize, We were given some misinformation this morning. Terminals running CommServer versions prior to 541 will still need a full download before August 1. We are requesting a potential impact report and will distribute it as soon as we have it.

If the CommServer software version on your terminal is prior to 5.4.4 or 4.9.3, proceed with the steps below to prevent the Terminal to experience the Reboot Loop again:
